Guest House booking in Auroville; Things you should know

Planning for a holiday to Auroville? Here are a few tips that you should know which can help you before you reach the place. 

Book your stay prior before you reach: Booking your room is the first and foremost thing you should do as a traveller before you reach Auroville. Dropping by and trying to find a room could be a tough task as you never know the flow of travellers dropping by. Auroville is usually busy.

If planning a group trip and want a stay you can visit http://guesthouses.auroville.org/ and ask for the availability. 

Once you check with the availability of the guest house facilities in Auroville make sure you CONFIRM YOUR BOOKING. As the rooms are usually full it's always better to check and confirm your stay without any delay. A few minutes of delay can make it more tougher. 

If you have not booked your stay and you are a solo traveller, it gets a little easier for you to get a stay. You can still use the above link to know the availability.

For more information you can also visit the Auroville Visitors Centre upon your arrival and check with the staff. I promise, the staff will do their best. They've been sweet always.

1. The Visitors Centre is open from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm.
